Sentence কাকে বলে কত প্রকার ও কি কি?

Sentence কাকে বলে?
মনের ভাব প্রকাশ করার জন্য কতগুলো শব্দকে একগুচ্ছ করে যখন সম্পূর্ণ একটি বাক্যে রূপান্তর করা হয় তাকে sentence বলে।
A sentence is a group of words used to express thoughts when it is converted into a complete sentence.
উদাহরণঃ
আমি, খাই, ভাত। এই শব্দ গুলোকে একসাথে সাজিয়ে বললে একটি sentence তৈরি হবে।
- আমি ভাত খাই।
- I eat rice.
একটি sentence তৈরি করার গঠন হচ্ছে-
Subject + verb + object.
I + eat + rice.
Sentence কত প্রকার ও কি কি?
Sentence মূলত পাঁচ প্রকার। যথাঃ
- Assertive Sentence (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য)
- Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য)
- Imperative Sentence (অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য)
- Optative Sentence (ইচ্ছা বা আর্শীবাদমূলক বাক্য)
- Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময় বা আবেগ সূচক বাক্য)
Assertive Sentence (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য):
যে sentence-এর মাধ্যমে যে কোন বিবৃতি প্রকাশ করা হয় তাকে Assertive Sentence বলে।
The sentence through which any statement is expressed is called Assertive Sentence.
Assertive Sentence এর স্ট্রাকচার/ গঠন হচ্ছে- Subject + verb + object/complement/adverb.
Example: She + reads + the Quran.
Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য):
মনের ভাব প্রকাশ করার জন্য যখন কোন প্রশ্ন করা হয় বা জিজ্ঞাসা সূচক কোন বাক্য রচনা করা হয় তখন তাকে Interrogative Sentence বলে।
An interrogative Sentence is when a question is asked or a sentence is written to express the mind’s thoughts.
Interrogative Sentence এর স্ট্রাকচার/ গঠন হচ্ছে- Auxiliary verb + subject + verb extension + ?
Example: Can + you + hear the horn +?
Auxiliary Verb: Am, Is, Are, Can, Could, Will, would, might, were, have, has, had, was, may, shall, should, etc.
Imperative Sentence (অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য):
মনের ভাব প্রকাশ করার জন্য যে বাক্য দ্বারা আদেশ, উপদেশ, নিষেধ, অনুরোধ ইত্যাদি বোঝানো হয়ে থাকে Imperative Sentence বলে।
Imperative Sentence is a sentence used to express thoughts, meanings, commands, prohibitions, requests, etc.
Imperative Sentence এর স্ট্রাকচার/ গঠন হচ্ছে- Subject + verb + object.
Example: Never + tell + a lie.
Optative Sentence (ইচ্ছা বা আর্শীবাদমূলক বাক্য):
মনের ভাব প্রকাশ করার জন্য যে বাক্য দ্বারা নিজের ইচ্ছা বা প্রার্থনা প্রকাশ করা হয় তাকে Optative Sentence বলে।
The sentence that expresses one’s desire or prayer to express one’s thoughts is called Optative Sentence.
Optative Sentence এর স্ট্রাকচার/ গঠন হচ্ছে- May + subject + verb + object.
Example: May + you + prosper + in your life.
Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময় বা আবেগ সূচক বাক্য):
যে বাক্য দ্বারা নিজের মনের আনন্দ বা বেদনা প্রকাশ করা হয় তাকে Exclamatory Sentence বলে।
The sentence that expresses the joy or pain of one’s mind is called an Exclamatory Sentence.
Exclamatory Sentence এর স্ট্রাকচার/ গঠন হচ্ছে- Alas, Bravo, Ah, Hurrah, What, How + ! + subject + verb + object.
Example: Hurrah + !+ you + are + won the game.
